Old Quarry Drama Club: Whiz Kids

Each week, Lemont Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.

Whiz Kids' School: 

Whiz Kids' Ages: Grades 6-8

Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: Last month, more than 50 students in the Drama Club worked together to put on their play "Night at the Wax Museum."

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: The kids rehearsed for several weeks, perfecting their lines and improving their comedic chops. "Night at the Wax Museum" is a play about six unlucky students who are forced to set up a new wax museum for their teacher. To their surprise, a mysterious incantation from Cleopatra's bracelet brings the was figures to life. When outlaws and pirates show up, the story turns into a wild treasure hunt.
