Lemont High School Inducts More than 90 into National Honor Society

NHS recognizes students who demonstrate scholarship, leadership, character and service.

Lemont High School recently hosted its annual National Honor Society induction ceremony in the school’s Performing Arts Center. Standout students from both the junior and senior classes – 91 students in all – were welcomed into the Harold Julian Chapter of the National Honor Society. This year’s honorees join 78 members of the Class of 2013 who were inducted a year ago.

The National Honor Society recognizes students who demonstrate scholarship, leadership, character and service. Students may be chosen for membership during their junior or senior years.

The National Honor Society co-sponsors are English teachers Marek Dron and Anna Kemp. The school’s local chapter is named for Harold Julian, a former Lemont High School teacher.
