Lemont High School Graduation Set for May 23

Ceremony starts at 7:30 p.m. Seating is first come, first served.

Lemont High School's graduation ceremony will be held Friday, May 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the school's gymnasium. Attendance for this event is limited to those individuals who have a ticket for entry.

Each student who will take part in graduation is allotted five tickets for seating in the gymnasium. Seating will be available on the main floor and in the bleachers. Students also are given two tickets for seats in the Performing Arts Center, where the Graduation ceremony will be broadcast on closed circuit television. Seating in both the gymnasium and the Performing Arts Center is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Individuals with special seating needs are advised to arrive early. Professional ushers will direct guests to their seats. Parking is available in all five of the school’s lots, as well as the parking garage.

After the ceremony, Lemont High School will host “Project Graduation,” an all-night, chemical-free party that will provide members of the Class of 2014 with an outing that is both safe and fun on the night of their Graduation. Held on campus, the party is organized by parents, faculty and members of the community, and is intended to not only provide a good time, but also reduce the chance of any student being involved in an alcohol- or drug-related accident. Project Graduation offers a variety of supervised activities, as well as food, music and raffles. Check-in for Project Graduation begins at 9:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center entrance, and no student will be admitted after 11 p.m.
