Lemont High School Cheerleaders Win Conference Championship

Congratulations to the Lemont High School cheerleaders, who topped all competitors at South Suburban Conference championships Saturday, Jan. 25.

Lemont High School cheerleaders can tack another accomplishment onto an already successful season. 

Both varsity and junior varsity squads took home top prize at the South Suburban Conference Championships Saturday, Jan. 25. 

The varsity squad finished first in the blue division, with a score of 90.58, with Oak Forest High School coming in second place. The JV squad won on a score of 82.63.

The varsity squad next heads to Sectionals at Riverside-Brookfield Saturday, Feb. 1—where they'll compete for a bid to state finals in Bloomington, Ill.

"It was a great day to be a Lemont cheerleader," said DJ Wohead, varsity co-captain.
