Lemont High School Celebrates Homecoming With Spirit Week

Students and faculty will participate in theme days and assemblies leading up to the football game against T.F. South on Friday and the school dance Saturday.

Lemont High School is gearing up for its its annual Homecoming game Friday with a week of spirit days, assemblies and special activities.

Students will dress up throughout the week to earn spirit points for their class. The winners will be announced at an all-school assembly Friday, along with homecoming king, queen and court.

Lemont alumni are invited to join in the celebration at 7 p.m. when the football team looks to extend its undefeated season with a victory against T.F. South.

Here's a full lineup of the week's events:

Monday

  • Country and Western Day: Dress up in your cowboy boots and hats.

Tuesday

  • Generation Day: Freshmen dress like babies, sophomores dress like little kids, juniors dress like working adults, seniors dress like senior citizens and teachers dress like their students.

Wednesday

  • Medieval Day: Dress up as a pheasant, knight or princess.

Thursday

  • Class Color Day: Freshmen dress in orange, sophomores dress in red, juniors dress in green, seniors dress in black and faculty dress in purple.

Friday

  • Blue and Gold Day: Support the athletic teams and show off your Indian pride. The spirit week class winner will be announced at the all-school assembly, along with homecoming king, queen and court.
  • Football vs. T.F. South at 7 p.m. at Lemont High School, 800 Porter St.

Saturday

  • Homecoming Dance at 6:30 p.m. in the Lemont High School gymnasium
