Extreme Cold: What's Closed in Lemont Monday

National Weather Service warns of dangerously cold temperatures; wind chill advisory will last until Wednesday.

It's hard to believe, but Monday could bring the coldest weather so far this winter, with some parts of Chicagoland seeing wind chills as low as -50.

In response to the potentially dangerous cold, area school districts began announcing closures on Sunday — including the rarely closed Chicago Public Schools.

Here's what's closed in Lemont so far. Tell us if you've heard of more, and we'll add to the list.

  • District 113A schools
  • Mt. Assisi

  • St. Al's/St. Pat's
  • Lemont Park District: Pre-school closed, all Early Childhood programs cancelled.
