Starting a Business in Illinois Seminar

Local residents are invited to attend Starting a Business in Illinois, a morning workshop scheduled on Thursday, April 12, in Lemont.  The program begins at 9 a.m. at the village hall, 418 Main St., and will be presented free to community members thanks to the sponsorship of the village.

This two-hour program focusing on personal, financial, and legal aspects of starting a business will be presented by Judi Mack, Regional Representative for CenterPoint at Governors State University.  Participants will learn what steps to take and what resources are available to assist new business owners succeed.

CenterPoint at Governors State University is an Illinois Small Business Development Center offering professional assistance, counseling, relevant training, and ongoing support services to entrepreneurs. CenterPoint is a service of Governors State University with grant support from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
