The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago is hosting its annual Biosolids Field Day on June 12, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to educate the public about the many benefits of the MWRD's nationally recognized biosolids program and treatment processes. There will be a demonstration, and guests will receive guidance on best practices for applying biosolids on parks, golf courses, soccer fields, farms and other landscaping projects.
Awards will be given to an individual and organization for their beneficial use and application of the biosolids. Reservations required.
