LHS Junior/Senior Choir,Band to Perform Holiday Concert

The Lemont High School music department presents the Junior/Senior Choir and the Symphonic Band in a holiday concert Sunday, December 12, at 3 p.m.

The show will take place in the school's Performing Arts Center.

Lemont High School's bands are under the direction of Terry Redford, Matt Doherty and Dave Nommensen, while Nommensen leads the choirs. The band and choral programs will perform a range of selections over the two events.

The December 12 concert will include seven pieces from the Symphonic Band, including "A Holst Christmas" and "A Carol Celebration," among others. The Junior/Senior Choir will perform Herman Hupfeld's "As Time Goes By" and Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy" among its six selections. The Symphonic Band and Junior/Senior Choir also will team up for a performance of "A Christmas Festival."

Admission to either concert is free, but attendees are encouraged to
bring a canned good or paper good, which will in turn be donated to
local food pantries. Seating for both concerts is general admission.

Lemont High School is located at 800 Porter Street in Lemont. Attendees are encouraged to park in the Performing Arts Center Lot, Parking Garage or the West Lot, all of which are accessible off of
Julia Street.
