The Lemont Fire Protection District will have "Open House" on Sunday, October 3rd at Fire Station One. This year's event will feature educational displays and demonstrations on fire safety.
In addition to the Northern Illinois Fire Sprinkler Association's "Side By Side" Live Fire Sprinkler demonstration, Lemont Firefighters will be presenting a dramatic auto extrication rescue drill. Weather permitting; the Life-Star Helicopter makes its annual appearance along with representatives of the United States Coast Guard showcasing some of their Department of Homeland Security equipment.
