District 113A to Vet Firms for Superintendent Search

During a special board meeting Dec. 4, the Lemont-Bromberek District 113A Board of Education will consider several companies to partner with during its search for a new superintendent.

The Lemont-Bromberek District 113A Board of Education will hear from four options of firms to work with during its search for a new superintendent at a special meeting Dec. 4.

The board is in the early stages of the process to replace former superintendent Susan Birkenmaier, who resigned abruptly in October. The board appointed Dr. Pamela Hollich to serve as interim superintendent in November. Hollich will serve as interim until June 1, alongside Assistant Superintendent Dr. Mary Gricus as lead administrator.

The firm chosen will recruit candidates and present bios to the board. Interviews are expected to begin in January. The board is hopeful it will appoint a longterm superintendent by the spring.
