District 113A to Hold Special Meeting Tuesday to Discuss Personnel

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Old Quarry Middle School LRC.

The Board of Education will hold a special meeting Tuesday night to discuss personnel.

According to the district's website, the board will immediately adjourn to closed session to discuss "the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity."

The meeting will be held in the , 16100 W. 127th St.

Tuesday's special meeting will mark the sixth time the District 113A Board has met this month. Another meeting is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. to approve resolutions authorizing the sale of tax anticipation warrants.

During a special meeting Thursday, May 26, PMA Financial representative Don Weber it solicited to issue $5 million in TAWs, which is necessary to meet financial obligations in July.

District 113A officials have already begun conversations with representatives from about a possible intergovernmental sale and purchase of TAWs — the second such agreement this year.

In January, the two districts , which is scheduled to be paid back (plus interest) by District 113A by June 29.

The District 210 Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting for June 6 to discuss the matter. Should the board agree to move forward with another intergovernmental agreement, it would need to approve the appropriate resolutions during its June 13 meeting, Weber said.
