District 113A Board to Consider Tentative Budget Wednesday

The District 113A Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Old Quarry Middle School.

The Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A Board of Education will hold a special meeting Wednesday to consider the tentative budget for fiscal year 2014.

In accordance with state law, the tentative budget will go before the board for approval, and will then on public display for 30 days. The board will also set a public hearing date for anyone who wishes to comment on the budget.

According to the draft budget posted to the District 113A website, the board is once again expected to approve a balanced budget. The total operating revenue is expected to be $21,567,406 and the total for operating expenditures is budgeted at $20,518,924—a difference of $1,048,482.

The board is also scheduled to discuss non-routine purchases—including a bulb eater and iPads—and current enrollment figures.
