District 113A Hires New Director of Operations

The new hire will replace Pam Mazurek, who retired at the end of the school year.

Lemont-Bromberek District 113A board members Wednesday approved the hiring of a new Director of Operations. 

Pat Crean will fill the vacancy left by Pam Mazurek, who retired at the end of the school year. 

Crean most recently served as the Supervisor of Building and Grounds for School District 149 where he was responsible for six schools and a 32-member custodial staff, according to an email from Superintendent Dr. Courtney Orzel.

Crean’s experiences include automation systems, bidding processes, inventory, work orders, health/life safety inspections, and comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules. He has also worked as a general construction manager and has managed residential and commercial projects from start-up to completion.

Crean has an Associate of Applied Science in Construction Technology, holds a Commercial Driver’s License, and is currently completing the Facilities Management Designation Program through the Illinois Association of School Business Officials.  He will begin his work with the district on Friday, July 18.
