District 113A Board Calls Emergency Special Meeting to Discuss Business Manager

President Cindy Kelly said the board will meet at noon Friday to discuss the position. The meeting comes one week after the resignation of the current business manager, Barbara Germany.

The Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A Board of Education will hold an emergency special meeting Friday to discuss a replacement for outgoing business manager Barbara Germany, who resigned last week.

Board President Cindy Kelly said they will meet at noon Friday to discuss personnel in closed session. The agenda lists "employment of business manager" as a possible action item, though Kelly declined to say whether the board would hire an interim business manager or a permanent employee.

Germany, who has been with District 113A for two years, will leave June 30 to begin a new role as chief business manager for Peotone Community School District 207-U. She formally resigned on June 19.

District 113A Superintendent Susan Birkenmaier told Patch last week that the district would  likely begin the process of searching for an interim business manager who could fill the position for up to 100 days while the board looks for a permanent replacement.

Friday's meeting will be held in the Old Quarry Middle School LRC, 16100 W. 127th St.
