Public Works Alerts Residents of Upcoming Projects

A new storm sewer is currently being constructed on Warner Avenue, while water mains will be installed on Kim, Kip and Cherokee beginning March 28.

The Lemont Public Works Department will be working on two construction projects over the next month that are expected to disrupt traffic, village officials said.

A new water storm sewer is currently being installed on Warner Avenue from Logan  Street to Ridge Road, said Public Works Director Ralph Pukula. Warner will be closed to all vehicles except local traffic, he said.

Beginning Monday, March 28, the village will also begin installing new water mains on Kim, Kip and Cherokee, just east of State Street. Pukula said parents of school children should be aware of the work when traveling to or from the River Valley/Oakwood campus.
