Cook County Releases Official Election Results

The overall turnout for suburban Cook County was just under 17 percent, while Lemont's was 39.3 percent. Results also showed just 850 votes for District 113A write-in candidate Janet Hughes.

Official results from suburban Cook County's April 5 consolidated election were released Wednesday, including the final tally of write-in votes for District 113A candidate Janet Hughes.

According to a release from Cook County Clerk David Orr's office, overall voter participation across Cook County was just under 17 percent. In Lemont Township, however, 39.3 percent of registered voters cast ballots in the consolidated election.

The results also revealed for the first time the number of write-in votes garnered by Board Member Janet Hughes: 850.

Four new District 113A board members were declared April 5 based on : Michael Aurelio, David Molitor, Cynthia Kelly and Al Malley.

The results will be certified by the Illinois State Board of Election on April 26.
