Looking for Work? Here’s Who’s Hiring

Lemont Township offers residents help for searching and applying for jobs.

The community services department at Lemont Township scours through search engines and employment listings, looking for jobs within a 20-mile radius of Lemont.  And besides gathering job listings and making them available to residents, the township offers tips on how to complete applications, write resumes and more.

The job bulletins, which are compiled twice a month, are sent out to more than 150 job seekers and to local churches for sharing with their congregations.  Job leads are also posted on the Lemont Township Facebook page.

“It is my passion to try and link (job) seekers with employment and it has been a thrill to get emails and cross paths with people who have secured employment from leads (the township) has found,” said  staff member Terri O’Neill-Borders.

“People text or email me job opening sightings that they find while they are out and about,” O’Neill-Borders added. “It is wonderful that we are all working as a team to help others.”
