Kettering Subdivision Discussion Continues, 7 Years Later

The oft-discussed subdivision has gone through another round of plan changes—and trustees Monday suggested several more tweaks.

Lemont trustees Monday took another look at plans for a 241-unit subdivision proposed for the southwest corner of 131st Street and Parker Road.

Kettering subdivision—previously known as Glen Oaks Estates—has been through several drafts and revisions, with a final PUD submitted May 2 by builder M/I Homes.

As many revisions have already been made, trustees weighed several changes to home design options, including how much brick should be used over portions of the homes.

Planning and Economic Development Director Charity Jones said the department will work with the developer to implement the changes into the designs, and bring a revised PUD to a later board meeting.
