President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit Argonne National Laboratory, near Lemont, on Friday afternoon to discuss American energy policy.

Congressman Bill Foster (D-11th) will join President Barack Obama as he visits Argonne National Laboratory on Friday afternoon.

The trip, which is closed to the public, will focus on American energy, according to White House officials.

An official told the Chicago Tribune that Obama's visit may or may not also include comments on the impact on facilities like Argonne of funding cuts caused by the current sequester.
