Three Seriously Injured in Crash on Lemont Road
Two cars were badly damaged and three people were injured in a T-bone crash near Lemont Road and 97th Street on Friday night, authorities said.
Three people were seriously injured Friday night in a two-car, T-bone crash in unincorporated Lemont, authorities said.
DuPage County Sheriff's police and the Lemont Fire Protection District responded just before 8 p.m. to the crash, which occurred just south of 97th Street on Lemont Road, fire officials said.
Lemont Battalion Chief Matt Peksa said both drivers—one of whom had to be extricated—and a passenger were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Both vehicles sustained substantial damage.

Most of Lemont Road was still shut down as of 11 p.m. Witnesses said all lanes were closes except a partial shoulder, and that both vehicles were still at the scene.
The DuPage County Sheriff's Office was not immediately available for comment.
