Jose Guzman, 51, of the 3700 block of West 76th Street, Chicago, was arrested at 4:54 p.m. following a traffic stop at Main and Illinois streets. He was charged with no valid driver's license and improper overtaking on the left. Guzman was issued a Sept. 17 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

DUI Alcohol
Tom E. Canfield, 58, of the 13500 block of Archer Avenue, Lemont, was arrested at 3:21 p.m. following a traffic stop on the 1300 block of State Street. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and illegal transportation of alcohol. Canfield was issued a Sept. 13 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
Also arrested at the scene was Hermelinda Fernandez-Aguirre, 37, of the 400 block of Harwood Street, Joliet. She was charged with no valid driver's license and issued a Sept. 17 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Package With Laptop Stolen

John M. Mason, 48, of the 800 block of State Street, was issued an ordinance ticket for public intoxication, according to police.Hit and Run
Someone struck a vehicle and fled the scene sometime between noon and 2:45 p.m. on the first block of Stephen Street, police said.DUI Alcohol
Linas Siaulys, 32, of the 14800 block of High Road, Lockport, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. following a traffic stop at Archer Avenue and State Street. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and no insurance. Siaulys was issued a Sept. 13 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
Suspended License I
David A. Shuminas, 43, of the 500 block of White Oak Road, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 3:39 p.m. following a traffic stop at Main and Holmes streets. He was charged with driving while license suspended and was issued a Sept. 17 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
