Police: Man Dead After Jumping From I-355 Bridge in Lemont
A man was pronounced dead around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday near the Des Plaines River and Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal, police said.

Illinois State Police are investigating the death of a man who reportedly jumped from the Interstate 355 bridge near downtown Lemont on Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. near mile marker 10, located above the Des Plaines River and Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal in Lemont. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A spokesperson for the Illinois State Police said the incident is still under investigation, and that no other details would be released.
Traffic will not be affected by the investigation, police said.
