Police Blotter: Suspended Driver’s License, Speeding; Theft of Cash, Jewelry, Computers

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lemont Police Department for arrests and incidents Aug. 27-Sept. 2. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Aug. 27

No valid driver’s license, failure to wear seat belt

Toni A. Booker, 31, of the 2700 block of Albany in Chicago, was arrested at 8:25 a.m. at New Avenue and Lockport Street. Booker was charged with no valid driver’s license and failure to wear a seat belt and was issued a Sept. 24 court date in Bridgeview.

Tuesday, Aug. 28

Driving while license is suspended, disobeying a traffic control device

Craig L. Purchase, 57, of the 0-100 block of Longwood Drive in Joliet, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. in the 13000 block of Archer Avenue. Purchase was charged with driving while license is suspended and disobeying a traffic control device and was issued a Sept. 24 court date in Bridgeview.

Marco A. Hernandez, 38, of the 2900 block of Kenneth in Chicago, was arrested at 7:25 p.m. at New Avenue and 127th Street. Hernandez was charged with driving while license is suspended and improper lighting and issued a Sept. 28 court date in Bridgeview.

Cash, jewelry stolen from home

Someone stole miscellaneous currency and jewelry from a home in the 0-50 block of Illinois Street between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Anyone with information about the incident should call the police department at 630-257-2229 or the Crime Tips Hot Line at 630-257-6426.

Damage to pool liner

Someone damaged a pool liner at a home in the 500 block of Fourth Street between 9 p.m. Aug. 28 and 5 a.m. Aug. 29. Anyone with information about the incident should call the police department at 630-257-2229 or the Crime Tips Hot Line at 630-257-6426.

Damage to vehicle

Someone damaged the passenger-side door of a vehicle in the 1200 block of State Street between 11:30 and 11:50 a.m. Anyone with information about the incident should call the police department at 630-257-2229 or the Crime Tips Hot Line at 630-257-6426.

Wednesday, Aug. 29

Driving while license is suspended, speeding, no insurance

Heather M. Gomez, 34, of the 600 block of Fourth Street in Lemont was arrested at 7:22 a.m. in the 700 block of McCarthy Street. Gomez was charged with driving while license is suspended, speeding and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and was issued an Oct. 17 court date in Bridgeview.

Thursday, Aug. 30

Theft of computers

Someone stole a Dell XPS laptop computer and a Lenova laptop computer from a vehicle in the 0-50 block of Logan Street between 12:05 a.m. and 10:20 p.m. Anyone with information about the incident should call the police department at 630-257-2229 or the Crime Tips Hot Line at 630-257-6426.

Saturday, Sept. 1

No valid driver’s license, no insurance, expired registration

Miguel A. Gonzalez, 20, of the 300 block of Harwood Street in Joliet, was arrested at 11:06 a.m. at New Avenue and Lockport Street. Gonzalez was charged with no valid driver’s license, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration, and was issued an Oct. 17 court date in Bridgeview.

Damage to vehicle

Someone damaged a tire and placed glue around the gas tank of a vehicle in the 600 block of Illinois Street between 8 p.m. Sept. 1 and 12:52 p.m. Sept. 2. Anyone with information about the incident should call the police department at 630-257-2229 or the Crime Tips Hot Line at 630-257-6426.
