Police Blotter: Stolen Items, Car Burglary

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lemont Police Department for arrests made Dec. 5-11. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Dec. 11

Stolen Wallet

An unknown offender stole a wallet from a business in the 13400 block of Archer Avenue at approximately 3:27 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 10

Suspended License

Stephen R. Stephenson, 39, of 16662 W. 147th St. in Lockport, was arrested at 8:08 a.m. near Lemont Road and Illinois Street. He was charged with driving on a suspended license.

Friday, Dec. 9

Car Burglary

Downers Grove police detectives contacted Lemont police about an individual suspected of car burglaries. On Dec. 9 at approximately 10 a.m., Matthew E. Augustine, 20, of 5557 W. Lemoyne Ave. in Chicago, was arrested in the 1200 block of Janas Lane. He was charged with burglary to a motor vehicle.

Stolen Shoes

Two female offenders stole three pairs of shoes from a business in the 13400 block of Archer Avenue at approximately 1:45 p.m. Anyone with information should contact the Lemont Police Department at 630-257-2229.

Thursday, Dec. 8

Speeding

  • Amy Rhodes was arrested at 10:59 a.m. near 127th Street and Bulldog Drive. She was charged with speeding and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. She was issued a Jan. 19 court date in Bridgeview.
  • Brandon Wielgus was arrested near 127th Street and High Road. He was charged with speeding and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. He was issued a Feb. 9 court date in the Will County courthouse.

Warrant Arrest

Anthony R. Melton, of Lemont, was arrested by Lemont police at 7:10 p.m. on an in-state warrant out of DuPage County. He appeared in the Bridgeview courthouse for a bond hearing.
