Police Blotter: Retail Theft, DUI, Stolen Cables

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lemont Police Department for arrests made Jan. 9-15 It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Jan. 15

Suspended License

  • Jesus Nunez, 27, of 608 Garnsey Ave. in Joliet, was arrested at 3:10 p.m. near New Avenue and Brown Drive. He was charged with driving on a suspended license and no valid insurance. He was issued a Feb. 9 court date in Bridgeview.
  • Arturo Hernandez, 43, of 309 Lake St. in Maywood, was arrested at 12:52 a.m. near Archer Avenue and Derby Road. He was charged with driving on a suspended license and no registration plate. He was issued a Feb. 9 court date in Bridgeview.
Friday, Jan. 13

Retail Theft

Shakiyle D. Baldwin, 20, of 509 Gregory Ave. in Glendale Heights, was arrested at 2:59 p.m. in the 13400 block of Archer Avenue. She was charged with retail theft. She was issued a March 7 court date in Bridgeview.

Eddie D. Johnson, 38, of 2296 Century Point Lane in Glendale Heights, was arrested at 2:59 p.m. in the 13400 block of Archer Avenue. He was charged with retail theft. He appeared at the Bridgeview courthouse for a bond hearing.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

Stolen Cables

Between 5 p.m. on Jan. 6 and 6 p.m. on Jan. 11, an unknown offender cut and stole cables from equipment in the 16700 block of New Avenue. Anyone with information should contact Lemont police at 630-257-2226.

Sunday, Jan. 8

Driving Under the Influence

Andrew F. Gluszck, 32, of 3401 Lockner Boulevard in Joliet was arrested near 135th Street and Emily Lane. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing and attempting to alude, and speeding. He was issued a Feb. 9 court date in Bridgeview.
