Police Blotter: Retail Theft, DUI, Resisting Peace Officer

Friday, Dec. 16

Retail Theft

  • Antelma Ruiz, 27, of 422 Garner St. in Joliet, was arrested at 5:28 p.m. in the 13400 block of Archer Avenue. She was charged with retail theft. She appeared at the Bridgeview courthouse for a bond hearing.
  • Isabella M. Jimenez, 36, of 550 Eastern Ave. in Joliet, was arrested at 5:28 p.m. in the 13400 block of Archer Avenue. She was charged with retail theft. She appeared at the Bridgeview courthouse for a bond hearing.
Wednesday, Dec. 14

Suspicious Activity

Lemont police received a report of an individual "acting suspicious" in the 1200 block of State Street.

Monday, Dec. 12

Garage Defaced

Police received a report of criminal defacement of a garage in the 12200 block of Sumner Street. Anyone with information should contact Lemont police at 630-257-2229.

Sunday, Dec. 11

DUI

Steven M. Kowalczyk, 28, of 1205 Pleasant Place in Lemont, was arrested at 2:23 a.m. near Archer Avenue and McCarthy Road. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. He was issued a Jan. 19 court date in Bridgeview.

Resisting, Obstructing Peace Officer

Biran K. Mitchell, 32, of 10028 S. Cicero Ave. in Oak Lawn, was arrested at 4:27 a.m. in the 300 block of River Street. He was charged with resisting and obstructing a peace officer. He was issued a Feb. 9 court date in Bridgeview.
