Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Battery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lemont Police Department for arrests made Oct. 10-16. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Oct. 16

Domestic Battery

Piotr Kowalczyk, 32, of 12735 Mayfair Drive in Lemont, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. in the 12700 block of Mayfair Drive. He was charged with domestic battery.

Saturday, Oct. 15

Suspended License

Everardo Vertiz, 41, of 511 Second St. in Lemont, was arrested at 10:14 p.m. in the 12600 block of New Avenue. He was charged with driving on a suspended license and improper lane usage. He was issued a Nov. 18 court date in Bridgeview.

Retail Theft

Jose F. Trujillo, 35, of 707 Miami St. in Joliet, was arrested at 11:35 a.m. in the 13400 block of Archer Avenue. He was charged with retail theft. He was issued a Dec. 8 court date in Bridgeview.

Thursday, Oct. 13

Battery

Karia M. Mercado, 28, of 24 W. Meagan Lane in Lemont, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Stephen St. She was charged with battery. She was issued a Nov. 14 court date in Bridgeview.

Tuesday, Oct. 11

Suspended License

Delilah Orozco, 38, of 519 N. Raynor Ave. in Joliet, was arrested at 2:35 p.m. in the 15800 block of New Avenue. She was charged with driving on a suspended license and speeding. She was issued a Dec. 8 court date in Bridgeview.

Monday, Oct. 10

Illegal Squeeling of Tires

Martin Luis-Velazquez, 30, of 6720 Vail Drive in Westmont, was arrested at 6:25 p.m. near State and 127th streets. He was charged with no valid Illinois driver's license and illegal squeeling of tires.
