Police Blotter: Resisting Officer, Burglary, Controlled Substance Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lemont Police Department March 9- March 16. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

SATURDAY, MARCH 16

No Valid License

Magdaleno Aguilar, 48, of the 2000 block of Prentiss Drive, Downers Grove, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. following a traffic stop at Warner Avenue and Wend Street. Aguilar was charged with driving without a valid driver's license. He was issued a May 17 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

FRIDAY, MARCH 15

No Valid License

Juan G. Munoz-Orozco, 38, of the 200 block of Hebbard Street, Joliet, was arrested at 9:34 a.m. following a traffic stop at New Avenue and Lockport Street. Munoz-Orozco was charged with driving without a valid Illinois driver's license and failure to signal when required. He was issued an April 11 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Suspended License, No Insurance

Bartolome Hernandez-Almaraz, 40, of the 3300 block of 60th Place, Chicago, was arrested at 8:31 a.m. following a traffic stop at New Avenue and Brown Drive. Hernandez-Almaraz was charged with driving while license suspended and no insurance. He was issued a May 3 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

THURSDAY, MARCH 14

No Insurance, Speeding

Luis A. Tapia, 24, of the 700 block of Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 7:22 p.m. following a traffic stop in the 17300 block of 127th Street. Tapia was charged with driving without a valid driver's license, no insurance and speeding. She was issued an April 19 court date at the Will County Courthouse.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13

Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer

Gilberto Munoz-Hinojos, 43, of the 7600 block of 62nd Place, Summit, was arrested at 11:38 a.m. following a traffic stop in the 200 block of Main Street. Munoz-Hinojos was charged with resisting/obstructing a peace officer. He was issued an April 11 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

TUESDAY, MARCH 12

Residential Burglary

Kevin C. Collins, 23, of the 400 block of McCarthy Road, Lemont, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. following an incident on the same block. He was charged with residential burglary and appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.

Driving While License Suspended

  • Kimberly L. Ward, 25, of the 1100 block of Florence Drive, Westmont, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. following a traffic stop at McCarthy Road and Julia Street. Ward was charged with driving while license suspended, no insurance and speeding. She was issued a March 27 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
  • Alejandro Jacobo-Bedolla, 27, of the 800 block of Vine Street, Joliet, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. following a traffic stop in the 10900 block of Archer Avenue. Jacobo-Bedolla was charged with driving while license suspended and driving with only one headlight. He was issued a March 27 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
  • Anthony M. Cosenza, 41, of the 7900 block of Woodglen Lane, Downers Grove, was arrested at 12:24 p.m. following a traffic stop at Derby Road and Archer Avenue. Consenza was charged with driving while license suspended and a defective windshield. He was issued a March 27 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

SATURDAY, MARCH 9

Possession of a Controlled Substance

Joseph W. Grosshauser, 35, of the 700 block of Bierman Avenue, Villa Park, was arrested at 9:29 p.m. following an incident in the first block of Bossert Drive. Grosshauser was charged with possession of a controlled substance and appeared at the Bridgeview courthouse for a bond hearing.

Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of a defendant’s guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
