Police Blotter: DUI, Speeding; No License, Insurance, Lights

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lemont Police Department Jan. 23-27. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

No License, Speeding

Johanny V. Guzman, 24, of the 5200 block of Melrose St. in Chicago, was arrested at 8:49 a.m. in the 15800 block of New Ave. She was charged with no valid driver’s license and speeding and issued a Feb.15 court date in Bridgeview.

Saturday, Jan. 26

DUI, Failure to Reduce Speed

Brittnay L. Oakley, 22, of the 1700 block of Nelson Road in New Lenox, was arrested at 1:05 a.m. at Lemont Road and 109th St. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Oakley will appear on the charges at the DuPage County Court House.

No License, Following Too Closely

Diana E. Gonzalez, 25, of the 600 block of Briggs St. in Joliet, was arrested at 3:23 p.m. in the 12300 block of New Ave. She was charged with no valid driver’s license and following too closely. Gonzalez was issued a Feb. 16 court date at the Will County Court House.

Sunday, Jan. 27

DUI, No Insurance, No Lights

Jonathan P. Krawczyk, 25, of the 13300 block of Silver Fox Drive, was arrested at 2:49 a.m. in the 1000 block of Main St. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance and driving without lights when required. Krawczyk was issued a Feb. 15 court date in Bridgeview.

Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of the defendant’s guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
