Police Blotter: DUI, No License, Illegal Consumption, Retail Theft

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lemont Police Department Feb. 25 - March 1. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Feb. 12

DUI

Linda Ramirez, 49, of the 9400 block of Ridgeway Ave. in Evergreen Park, was arrested at 11:12 p.m. at Archer Ave. and Parker Road. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and issued a March 27 court date in Bridgeview.

Monday, Feb. 25

No License, Defective Windshield

Jorge A. Martinez, 19, of the 400 block of Francis St. in Joliet, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. in the 15800 block of New Ave. He was charged with driving while license is suspended and defective windshield, and was issued an April 11 court date in Bridgeview.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

Illegal Consumption, Resisting a Peace Officer

Edgar D. Gonzalez, 20, of the 800 block of Royce Ave. in Joliet was arrested at 4:55 a.m. in the 12700 block of Archer Ave. He was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and resisting/obstructing a peace officer.

Friday, March 1

Retail Theft

Florence Warpinski, 56, of the 1100 block of Gillian Ave., was arrested at 3:42 p.m. in the 13400 block of Archer Ave. She was charged with retail theft and was issued a March 27 court date in Bridgeview.

Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of a defendant’s guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
