Police Blotter: Drug Paraphernalia, Traffic Violations, Aggravated Domestic Battery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lemont Police Department Jan. 14-19. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Jan. 14

No Driver’s License, Speeding

Marcial C. Rodriguez, 36, of the 0-50 block of Ohio St. in Joliet, was arrested at 12:42 p.m. at New Ave. and Timberline Drive. He was charged with no driver’s license and speeding, and was issued a Feb. 15 court date in Bridgeview.

No Driver’s License, Failure to Reduce Speed

Yesica Hernandez, 24, of the 600 block of Broadway St. in Joliet, was arrested at 2:39 p.m. in the 13400 block of Archer Ave. He was charged with no valid driver’s license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was issued a Feb. 15 court date in Bridgeview.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

Suspended License, Speeding, No Insurance

Macario Mendez-Reyes, 44, of the 0-50 block of Mississippi Ave. in Joliet, was arrested at 3:07 p.m. in the 17200 block of 127th St. He was charged with driving while his license is suspended, speeding and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. Mendez-Reyes appeared at the Will County Court House for a bond hearing.

Thursday, Jan. 17

No Driver’s License, Speeding

Fernando Lazo-Alvarez, 29, of the 800 block of Washington St. in Joliet, was arrested at 12:21 p.m. in the 15700 block of New Ave. He was charged with no valid driver’s license and speeding, and was issued a March 15 court date in Bridgeview.

Friday, Jan. 18

Domestic Battery

Kristen M. Marchese, 35, of the 1000 block of Warner Ave., was arrested at 1:29 p.m. at the same address and charged with domestic battery. She appeared at the Bridgeview Court House for a bond hearing.

Aggravated Domestic Battery, Domestic Battery, Resisting Arrest

Sheri L. Forillo, 49, of the 1000 block of McCarthy Road, was arrested at 10:25 p.m. in the 700 block of Warner Ave. She was charged with aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery and resisting arrest, and appeared at the Bridgeview Court House for a bond hearing.

Saturday, Jan. 19

Suspended License, Speeding

Isaac C. Camarena, 31, of the 100 block of Rachel St. in Rensselaer, IN, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. in the 15800 block of New Ave. and charged with driving while license is suspended and speeding. Camarena was issued a Feb. 15 court date in Bridgeview.

Suspended License, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Julie A. Zastawny, 33, of the 9800 block of Prospect Ave. in Chicago, was arrested at 10:02 a.m. in the 12300 block of Archer Ave. She was charged with driving while license is suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was issued a Feb. 15 court date in Bridgeview.

Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of the defendant’s guilt. A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Was there ever a time when a full day was offered Jennifer? I was in kindergarten at Oakwood aboutRead More 28 years ago and even then it was half day. If you want full day Kate, St Pats/St Al's, St Cyril's, and I'm sure others are full day.

Full-day kindergarTen has a lot of fillers too: they eatRead More lunch, go outside, go to the bathroom, etc. I don't think our public schools allow snacks in the classroom anyway. Any teacher would know that learning starts at home, and a teacher would know how to supplement a kindergarten curriculum.
