Police Blotter: Domestic Battery, Suspended Licenses; No Insurance, Registration

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lemont Police Department Feb. 4-10. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

Domestic Battery

Anna M. Cieslukowski, 30, of the 1100 block of Berkley Lane, was arrested at 3:23 p.m. at that address. She was charged with domestic battery and appeared at the Bridgeview Court House for a bond hearing.

Thursday, Feb. 7

Suspended License, No Insurance

Beth A. Williamson, 31, of the 20100 block of Frankfort Square Road in Frankfort, was arrested at 2:03 a.m. in the 1000 block of Main St. She was charged with driving while license is suspended and no insurance, and was issued a March 27 court date in Bridgeview.

Friday, Feb. 8

Suspended License, Disobeying Traffic Control Device

Javier Santana-Vargas, 30, of the 0-50 block of Root St. in Aurora, was arrested at 12:40 p.m. at Lockport St. and New Ave. He was charged with driving while license is suspended and disobeying a traffic control device, and was issued a March 27 court date in Bridgeview.

Saturday, Feb. 9

Suspended License, Expired Registration

Carlos Contreras, 28, of the 500 block of Harwood St. in Joliet, was arrested at 4:55 p.m. at New Ave. and Lockport St. He was charged with driving while license is suspended and expired registration, and was issued a March 27 court date in Bridgeview.

Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of the defendant’s guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
