Palos Hills Man Struck by Car Near Cog Hill Golf Club

The 35-year-old man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.

A 35-year-old man from Palos Hills was struck by a car Wednesday morning on South Archer Avenue near Cog Hill Golf Club in Lemont, authorities said.

The man was standing in the middle of Archer Avenue, near Bell Road, around 5:25 a.m. when he was struck by a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria, according to Cook County Sheriff's spokesperson Sophia Ansari.

The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It was not immediately clear why he was standing in the middle of the road , Ansari said.

No charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
