Missing 87-Year-Old New Lenox Man With Dementia Tracked to Chicago Skyway

The missing New Lenox man's whereabouts have been unknown more than 15 hours.

The search for an 87-year-old missing New Lenox man with dementia has led police to the Chicago Skyway.

Frank Gezik had reportedly left his home in New Lenox about 3:30 p.m. Monday. He drove off in a tan 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis.

The police now know which direction Gezik was going.

"The vehicle was last known to have passed through a toll plaza headed northbound on the Chicago Skyway on March 17, 2014, at approximately 5:15 p.m.," New Lenox Deputy Police Chief Robert Pawlisz said in an email Tuesday morning.

Gezik was last seen wearing black pants and a teal coat. The license plate number of his car is 3020764.

Gezik is 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds. Anyone with information on Gezik's whereabouts is asked to call the New Lenox Police Department at 815-485-2500.
