Lemont Police Department to Host Open House for Residents

The community is invited to tour the department's recently dedicated facility, 14600 W. 127th St., on Saturday, May 19.

Residents are invited to tour the  during a special event later this month.

The department, located at 14600 W. 127th St., will hold an open house Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to noon.

"Residents are invited to tour the recently dedicated facility, which features state-of-the-art technology and many eco-friendly design components," Lemont Police Chief Kevin Shaughnessy said in a press release.

The event will feature K-9 presentations, crime prevention information, tours of the department and a blood drive for officers shot in the line of duty.

Residents will also be able to meet Lemont police officers and enjoy refreshments, according to the release.

No reservations are needed, and children are welcome.
