Lemont Fire Protection District Hosts Blood Drive
The drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Lemont Fire Station One.
The Lemont Fire Protection District is hosting a firefighter blood donation challenge Saturday.
The blood drive, organized through LifeSource, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the training room at Station One, 15900 New Ave.
A barbecue and free tote bags will be provided for all participating blood donors.
People who donate are encouraged to eat a good meal and drink extra water before donating. Donors also need to bring an ID with them, either a drivers license or a Social Security card.
Walk-ins are welcomed but appointments are preferred. To schedule an appointment or for more information, call LifeSource at 877-543-3768 or visit www.lifesource.org and use the sponsor code L519.
