Lemont police reports, Aug. 9-19

MONDAY, AUG. 19

Suspended License, One Headlight

Erol E. Gazaferi, 21, of the 16400 block of Christopher Drive, Lemont, was arrested at 12:29 a.m. following a traffic stop at State and Freehauf streets. He was charged with driving while license suspended and driving with only one headlight. Gazaferi was issued a Sept. 13 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

SUNDAY, AUG. 18

Domestic Battery

Valentinas Saukaitis, 56, of the 100 block of Rose Court, Lemont, was charged at 2:34 a.m. with domestic battery following an incident on the same block. Saukaitis appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.

Garage and Vehicle Damage

Damage to a vehicle and a garage were reported at 9:31 p.m. on the 16100 block of New Avenue, police said.

FRI., AUG. 16

Business Sign Removed

A canvass business sign with the name Critter Cleaners was removed from the 1100 block of State Street, police said.

THURSDAY, AUG. 15

Retail Theft

Ashley M. Babin and Morgan E. Peek were charged at 6:07 p.m. with retail theft from a business on the 13400 block of Archer Avenue.

No License

Pedro Jasso-Saucedo, 45, of the 400 block of Bruce Road, Lockport, was arrested at 11:48 a.m. following a traffic stop at Lockport Street and New Avenue. He was charged with no valid driver's license and disobeying a traffic control device. Jasso-Saucedo was issued a Sept. 17 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Mountain Bike Stolen

A mens black mountain bike, painted red and black, was removed from the back of Front Street Cantina, police said.

Domestic Battery

A juvenile was charged at 11:50 p.m. with domestic battery following an incident on the 800 block of Main Street. The juvenile will appear at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Interfering With Domestic Battery Report

Zachary M. Sovich, 29, of the 16100 block of New Avenue, Lemont, was charged at 11 p.m. with domestic battery and unlawful interfering with reporting a domestic battery following an incident in the 16100 block of New Avenue. Sovich appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.

Hit and Run

An unknown vehicle at about 11:30 a.m. struck a parked and unattended car on the 1100 block of State Street, according to police. 

TUESDAY, AUG. 13

Suspended License

Roberto Sandoval, 38, of the 200 block of Creekside Road, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 7:36 a.m. following a traffic stop at Lemont and Old Lemont roads. He was charged with driving while license suspended and was issued a Sept. 17 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

FRIDAY, AUG. 9

DUI Alcohol

John M. Thompson, 52, of the first block of Emily Lane, Lemont, was arrested at 12:02 a.m. following a traffic stop at Arbor Drive and State Street. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and expired registration. Thompson was issued a Sept. 13 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
