No Injuries in Blaze at Lemont Citgo Refinery
No evacuations were required, and all employees were safe after a fire Wednesday night at a Lemont Citgo refinery.

No one was injured in a fire crews battled for hours at a Lemont Citgo refinery Wednesday night.
The fire started in the crude oil unit around 7:40 p.m. The unit was immediately shut down, according to a statement from Citgo. Firefighters from Lemont and surrounding suburbs fought the blaze. No injuries were reported, no evacuations were required. All employees were safe.
Lemont Mayor Brian Reaves told Sun-Times Media reporters that he received an "all-clear" message around 9:45 p.m.—and that any remaining fires were not major.
