TUESDAY, MAY 7
Bennie L. Harris Jr., 51, of the 9200 block of Jill Lane, Schiller Park, was arrested at 12:06 p.m. following a traffic stop at Mccarthy Road and Archer Avenue. Harris was charged with driving while license suspended and was issued a June 11 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
SUNDAY, MAY 5
DUI, Improper Lane Usage
Mantas Storpirstis, 36, of the 200 block of Heather Glen Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 1:52 a.m. following a traffic stop at Archer Avenue and Bell Road. Storpirstis was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. He was issued a June 11 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
FRIDAY, MAY 3
Joliet residents Olivia Peralta-Tapia, 44, of the 500 block of Elmwood Avenue, and Maydelih Madrid, 30, of the 600 block of Blackhawk Street, were arrested at 12:33 p.m. following an incident on the 13400 block of Archer Avenue. Peralta-Tapia and Madrid were charged with retail theft and will appear at the Bridgeview Courthouse at an unspecified date.
Criminal Damage, Disorderly Conduct
Kenneth K. Schott, 29, of the 13100 block of Foxhill Court, Lemont, was arrested at 1:47 p.m. following a traffic stop on the 11400 block of Theresa Drive. Schott was charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. He appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.
Controlled Substance Possession
Michelle Laposta, 22, of the 9000 block of Timberwood Lane, Tinley Park, was arrested at 2:59 a.m. following a traffic stop on the 400 block of Jane Avenue. Laposta was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving with one headlamp. She appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.
THURSDAY, MAY 2
Eric Johnson, 19, of the 13900 block of Kelly Avenue, Plainfield, was arrested at 12:17 p.m. following a traffic stop on the 16400 block of New Avenue. Johnson was charged with possession of cannabis and driving without lights when required. He was issued a June 26 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 1
Someone took a Lenovo laptop without permission from a vehicle on the 13000 block of Blue Grass Avenue, police said. The incident occurred between 9 p.m. April 30 and 7:30 a.m. May 1. Anyone with information on this incident can contact the Lemont Police Department at 630-257-2229.
