The Constant Negativity

This message board has been infested with negativity. I think some people are missing the point, we are all together in this, we all want Lemont and the people of Lemont to thrive. Instead of sitting on your computer and causing useless arguments via an anonymous message board, why not go out and make a difference. It is quite easy to criticize and act intelligent behind the screen of a computer.
The world is rapidly changing...Lemont is going to turn into a ghost-town if we all don't stop being so damn conservative and negative about new and exciting ideas.

Radiate positivity, think outside the box, take a chance and seize the day.

Save Lemont patch for lost and found dogs.

May the force be with you.

Josie, you don't think it's a touch ironic that you have posted against negativity on the internet by being negative on the internet? If you don't think you are, try reading your post as someone other than yourself. If you're using words like "infested" and "useless" to describe others, you are yourself being negative. If you really had the convictions to match your words, you would be leading by example, not criticizing and judging others. Spencer D. Smith (not anonymous)

However, I do like your carpe diem and Star Wars reference, so there's that.

first, you used the wrong tense: instead of using the words "is going", you should have said "has". second, Your comment of "...so damn conservative and negative about new ideas." doesn't really qualify as positive commentary. Rather ironic, that. Third, I and others who are speaking out are not anonymous. Fourth, your closing remark exhorting us to "radiate positivity" is more appropriate to a yoga class. What we who are protesting the unfair and undemocratic actions of the village board and mayor would rather have Lemonters do is "radiate critical thinking" about a $34 million project that the 6 member board and mayor have concocted with absolutely no input from the 16,600 Lemonters who will be obligated to pay if, as impartial experts have cautioned, will very likely fail.
