Speak Out

The closing of Deja Vu Rack is very disturbing after so many of our stores have been forced to leave due to the greed of the landlord, and our own citizens unwilling to utilize what our city has to offer. Kim has done a wonderful job bringing us a used clothing boutique that only allowed upscale merchandise. She was fair with her pricing and gave women a few dollars more to sell rather than donating to a big chain. How are we ever going to make Lemont businesses thrive if so many are unwilling to help out by shopping them. We now have two eyesores in the form of closed gas stations. What is going to be done about them? Adding to these properties is Wendy's and the bowling alley.  Joan Rooney
