What an eye sore. Has been for years. And now the bowling alley. We can only hope.

The gas stations are teardowns and both would require environmental cleanup before anything can be built. My contacts tell me that the bowling alley was abandoned with complete disregard and the lanes are now beyond repair so it is also a teardown.

I have never understood why the contracts for gas station purchases do not included an environmental cleanup escrow account. Seems like a terrible miss and leaves behind such a mess. If you are going to get in the business and be and not sale the property to another owner, you should be responsible for cleanup, especially with gas stations and other environmentally dangerous facilities.

It was writ right here these pages that Vito and Nicks was closed October 2011 when the bank changed the locks on the door. It was reopened as Nicky V's a few months later but that was shut down a few months after that when electric was cut off to the building
