Come Clean Ladies!

Why is it that some Lemonters find it necessary to park in handicapped parking just to drop off dry cleaning?  Is there a 10 min. rule on handicapped parking spots that makes it okay to park without a plate or placard as long as you will be there for less than 10 min.?  A friend and I had dinner at 3 Corners tonight and I was appalled by the number of women who felt the need to park in handicapped parking just to drop off their dry cleaning next door.  Even with a placard, I don't always park in handicapped parking because I do have good days that allow me to walk farther.  I was so aggregated by this behavior that I even pointed out to one woman who felt the need to park her big, black Yucon and leave the engine running with children inside.  What a fine example you are setting for your children putting your needs above those of an individual with special needs!  If the Village of Lemont finds it's running short on funds, just send an officer over to 3 Corners and start imposing that posted $250 fine.
