September is Library Card Sign Up Month

Visit the Lemont Public Library to sign up for a free card this month and enter a drawing for Chicago Bears-themed prizes.

Library Director Sandra Pointon encourages all residents of the Lemont Public Library District to sign up for a free library card.

A library card offers patrons a world of education, exploration and entertainment, Pointon said. Books, free programs for all ages, ebooks and ereaders, audiobooks, electronic databases, computer classes, and free Internet access are among the variety of resources open to residents at their library.

“If you don’t have a library card yet, now is the time to get one,” said Pointon. “It’s a great deal, especially during September, which is Library Card Sign-up Month.”
