Lemont Hornets 83 Gold is headed to the Super Bowl!

The 83-pound Gold team of the Lemont Hornets have earned their spot in the Super Bowl, winning their second playoff game last Saturday against the Wheaton Rams 20-0.  This is their 10th win in a row in an undefeated season that the Hornets have allowed only 3 scores against them.  The players seem to be getting progressively better and growing closer together as a team each week.  Every position has been doing their job and executing in the games just as well as they practice during the week.

The stingy Hornets defense held the Rams to only 26 yards on 26 attempts, averaging only 1 yard per carry.  The offense scored 3 touchdowns and successfully converted 2 extra points.  The special teams played very well and made some impressive plays.  Overall, the team looked ready to take on any challenger in the Super Bowl.
