Relay For Life of Lockport

The 2014 Relay for Life event in Lockport will be held on July 18. The 12-hour-long program aimed at raising research dollars for the American Cancer Society has family, friends, businesses and community members uniting together in the fight against cancer.

From 6 p.m. July 18 till 6 a.m. July 19 at Lockport Township High School, East Campus, 1333 E. 7th Street, the track around the football field will become more than a place to watch a game. It is transformed for 12 hours into a step-by-step walk toward winning the war against cancer.

At last year’s Relay For Life nearly 160 participants on 21 teams, showed courage and support for those living with the disease and those we have lost. Relay For Life is a commitment to support those who have a history with the disease. Those that participated last year helped to raise $25,212.72 in the fight against cancer!
