Lennon and McCartney Come to Life at GSU’s Center for Performing Art

  Award-winning musician and songwriter Jim Witter performs his multi-media rock musical "The Long and Winding Road" on Saturday, September 28th at 8:00 p.m. Few can argue that the Beatles were the greatest rock/pop group of all time...their music shaped a decade and blazed the trail to modern music today. Get ready to explore the sometimes tumultuous relationship of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and the stories behind the songs that have become a part of our lives. Jim Witter and his incredible band are your guides on this "Magical Mystery Tour" into the minds of the legendary creators behind the Beatles biggest hits.

  This multi-media presentation utilizes full-screen projection of the headlines of the day and features over 30 timeless hits including "Yesterday", "A Hard Day's Night", "Hey Jude", "Penny Lane", "Let it Be", "Blackbird" and more.

  Witter’s versatility as an artist has brought him international acclaim from industry executives and fans alike, including the Canadian Country Music Association, Dove and Juno Awards.

  Tickets are just $25. Seniors pay only $20, and Students with valid I.D. pay $15. To purchase tickets, or for further information, contact GSU Center’s box office at www.centertickets.net or call 708-235-2222. The box office is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and two hours prior to performances. Parking is free. This is a general admission event.   Groups of 10 or more are eligible for discounts. Patrons who select three 2013-2014 shows are eligible for 15 percent discounts. Patrons who select four or more shows are eligible for 20 percent discounts. (Savings are not available online.) By purchasing tickets for three or more shows, you receive priority seating, discounted prices on additional tickets purchased throughout the season, and ticket protection that ensures exchange privileges on tickets purchased 72 hours prior to shows.
