BE THE MATCH DONOR DRIVE / Paul's Journey from "Hope" to Destiny
You Have The Power To Save Someone's Life!
In January 2012 doctors told Paul Orednick that he had less than a year to live without a stem cell transplant. His "hope" came through a perfect match in Destiny, his stem cell donor. Destiny had signed up to be a donor at a Be The Match Donor Drive while still in college. Destiny's generous donation of stem cells has given Paul a second chance at life. Paul and Destiny will meet for the first time and host a Donor Drive in Lemont during the Wednesday night Car Show. You could be someone's "HOPE"! To join you only need to be between the ages of 18 - 44, fill out a brief health questionnaire, and give a simple cheek swab. About half of the patients who need a stem cell transplant do not receive one in time due to a lack of donors. You have the power to save a life!Paul and Destiny look forward to seeing you!
