2. Hope and Friendship Community Rummage Sale

Hope and Friendship Ministries will host a from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Church, 1375 State St. All proceeds will benefit Lemont families in need.

3. Lemont Fire Open House

The will host its annual open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Station No. 1, 15900 New Ave. This year's event will commemorate the department's .

4. OctoberFest

Talcott Square will hold its annual OctoberFest from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The event will celebrate German heritage with live music, food and more. The entry fee is $5.

5. Fright Night at the Old Stone Church

The will again host its annual Halloween event, "Fright Night at the Old Stone Church." Historical Society volunteers will dress up and share ghost stories from Lemont's past, and will show guests a coffin from the 1800s. The event will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Lemont Historical Society Museum, 306 Lemont St.
